Description:

We are currently experiencing large amounts of spam on our forums and need a coder to assist in eliminating this spam and future spam.

Your job will include the task of finding a solution to prevent the forums from being spammed in the future and installing any software necessary to prevent this spam.

Moodle & vBulletin

Description:

Upgrade moodle from version 1.6 and vbulletin 3.6 to the latest available stable releases.

Both moodle and vbulletin have custom scripts integrated to share a user base, this includes the following:

• sign up / registration
• confirmation
• permissions
• administration of users
• paypal modules

In addition to the update, vbgallery needs to be converted to the the latest version of photopost (including all photos and users).

A mock site must be setup and successfully updgraded before doing the same to the live site.

vBulletin Search Fix

Description:

While the advanced search is working fine, the search from the pop-up window from the forum navbar is returning a blank page.

More Details:

- Forum has a plugin installed (VBGallery) and when disabled, the search works
- Forum is using a custom made template
- VB version 3.6.8

Move Simple Machines Forum

Description:
We need to move a website with a Simple Machines Forum from one server to another without losing all the posts, users, etc. It also has MKPortal integrated with it so basically we need to have the entire account moved from one cPanel server to another, database and all.

We have FTP & cPanel access to the account where it resides now and also FTP & cPanel access on the server it is being moved to.

PHPBB Forum Upgrade

Description:

I need a phpbb forum upgraded from 2.0.18 to the current release (2.0.22) I believe. I need the color scheme maintained, but installed mods can and should be erased.

I’m looking for basically a “clean start”: maintain users and posts and the color scheme, but everything else upgraded and the old mods gone. Work needs to be completed via cpanel.

This is a live forum, so I’m looking for someone who can do this quickly and cleanly.

PHPBB Theme

Description:

I need a theme modified for the forum to look more like the main site.

Easy task if you are experienced with css/phpbb.

The phpbb logo in the upper left corner should be replaced with the attached logo (sized appropriately while retaining clearness/quality).

SMF forum Template

Description:

I need a SMF forum integrating into a site’s existing design.

Tweak vBulletin

I have moved vBulletin to a new server and updgraded to 3.6.4 and it just does not seem to be performing well. I don’t know if the db needs to be optimized or something is not configured correctly.

I am also having a problem with uploading images to the Photopost gallery. I think it has to do with when they log into vBulletin, it is not logging them into Photopost.

I have full ftp/shell access to the server.

EDIT: The work was completed and more work as a bonus was requested.

SMF Profile Fields

Description:

I would like a couple more fields of info for all my users in my forums (SMF 1.1.2).

The second link is on my forums showing the left column part of one of my users’ posts. The first link is of some random forums (using vbulletin) and it is showing the same left column part of some random user’s post on there. The fields that I would like added to the profile’s of my forum users is:

Quick Update

I have completed various projects over the last week or so, nothing worth writing about, mostly phpbb fixes/updates and one rather interesting plesk problem.

I spent some time sorting out the DNS servers for superserver.co.uk (my company). The detailed dns report is pretty damn tasty (even if I do say so myself). The only errors left are due to having both dns servers on the same box. A new box is coming soon.

Forum Update/Fix

Description:
We are in need of someone to update our forum to phpBB and also install 3 mods.We are receiving some spam attacks from bots and need to install the following mods. Install vBulletin

This was an interesting install.. I found a very nice banner rotation system.

Description:

Need to have Vbulletin installed and slight customized. This will be a forum built for ebay discussion board. Might need some hacks installed like a banner roation system, and change up the board color.

This will be a long term project and will like to have someone that can help with future installation and adjustments.
